The core idea of the company is to provide products based on standard hardware and software components for efficiently traffic analysis. Rather than using costly custom network cards and operating systems, nmon uses commercial network cards and open source software such as the Linux operating system, for delivering advanced and cost-effective solutions.

Although nmon is a rather young company, its roots are solid as its core team is involved since more than 12 years in the network measurement field. It offers both end-user and OEM solutions to several hardware manufacturer companies as well as complete traffic monitoring solutions to large European and American companies (references available on request).
